Do you have an”Emotional Emergency kit”?
Or are you just wondering what in the world I’m on about? Either way read on, I think you’ll LOVE it! An emotional emergency kit is not only a great addition to your self-love routine it’s a necessary tool for coping with life’s emotional pitfalls.
If there is one thing I know, as sure as the sun rises and falls, life will have it’s ups and downs. There’ll be times when you are tested and brought to your knees wondering how you’ll ever get up. There’ll be times when you feel like the mountain you’ve been climbing keeps getting bigger and you have lost the will to try. BUT as sure as there are times of struggle, there are also times of triumph.
Life is ultimately a wave of experience, and it’s our job to learn to ride that wave. Its not a matter of whether you get knocked down, it’s about how long you stay there. It’s about finding something worth fighting for & putting a plan in place to help you look to the light when feeling consumed by the darkness.
I believe, that one of the major reasons why I am here now doing what I am doing, is because I had something worth fighting for. I found a reason bigger than myself, and bigger within myself, than the voices saying “I can’t.” In every moment of despair, I think of you, the people reading this, watching my videos and connecting with me. I think of the possibility to touch just one person, to let someone know they aren’t alone, to give even a moment of hope. That is what I fight for.
I also believe, that we all have greatness within us, and that you have greatness within you. So think about these three questions:
- What is your why?
- Who are you fighting for?
- What will you do when times get tough?
One of the number one things that I recommend for people to do, is to put in place an “Emotional Emergency Kit.” A go to system to help you heal in times of trauma, fear, desperation, isolation and overwhelm. Just as we put in place systems to support ourselves, physically, we must do the same emotionally. The world needs your gift, so the quicker you bounce back the better for all of us!

So take some time to, think of what you can put in your “Emotional Emergency Kit.” Think of all of the things that bring you comfort, inspiration and motivation. Think of all of the things you can do to lift yourself up, when your mind is filled with I can’ts? The more you put in place before your emotions put you into reaction mode, the better. And remember, no matter what always meet yourself with compassion.
